With MME, I'm able to record the guitar while monitoring the drum track but a) the 30ms latency makes it pretty much impossible, and b) in any case it only records/plays on the left channel, regardless of how I adjust the input/output settings on the track itself as well as in Channel Mapping. Oh, and not sure if it's supposed to be this way, but I notice that MME gives me two options under Audio Hardware: one for input and one for output, while WASAPI only gives me one.
Inserted audio track, set its input to 'Rocksmith USB adapter', switched on 'input echo' and audio is coming, hooray. Obviously I have a lot to learn about the basics of the process, but in all my searching through Adobe's how-to pages and YouTube tutorials, I haven't been able to get the setup to work properly. Just purchased Rocksmith cable today, plug that into my Lenovo L440 laptop, it installed itself automatically with NO hassle and soon after that Sonar (in WASAPI exclusive mode) recognized it as a possible input.
